Marquette can not afford to keep going down by 18 in the first half as they play down the stretch. That seems to be the magic number before they rally back before halftime.
It won’t work in the Big East tournament or the Big Dance. They have to find a way to come out more aggressive and put the pedal to the metal in the first half like they always do in the second. They will blow teams away if they can find that formula.
They have the talent, the bench, team speed, the heart and confidence to stay with anyone but if Gardner is not in there that will really hurt them against teams with bigs up front. Crowder and DJO have kept everyone’s head in the game but they need to solve their first half slumps.
No Big guy = No chance. Too many good teams in other conferences w/ good big men.
