Here's a couple of messages from our own Brian Fitzgerald. He lives and works in Boston now and met up with Fast Willie at the Big East Tournament.

I have attached a pic of Willie and me in MSG before we met our demise at the Big East Tournament. Let’s hope they have re-grouped for the NCAA as they have a lot of work to do to come out of the West. Missouri will be the toughest team to beat to make it to the Regional Semis and Murray State could be a spoiler. Let’s hope they have the determination and desire to win because it will take all that and more to get to Regional Finals with Michigan State, Louisville and Missouri.
Go Warriors

Great ZOO reunion game against Georgetown on Saturday and I can’t wait to get down to NYC tomorrow morning. Can’t wait to hook up with Fast Willie, his son, Chris and Marianne. Going down with big brother, nephews and friends, one friend who visited me at Marquette for Paddy’s Day during my short couple of years there and still talks about it now. He remembers the beautiful Barbara Burger and wished he could have stayed longer to try and get a date but my other buddy who came with him had to get back to Boston to pick up his unemployment check.
No denying it, Crowder’s honor as Big East Player of the Year was well deserved. Everyone in the conference had to admire and respect his work ethic as the man never stopped competing each and every game throughout the entire season. He was definitely the engine that drove that team along with DJO’s timely scoring whenever they needed it. Only unanimous selection to Big East All Conference first team says it all.
Anyone else making the trip to NYC give us a call, my cell is 617-838-3614. We have a few good pubs to hit and an Irish bartender at Connelly’s on 3rd and Lexington owes me big time and I am ready to collect.
I will see you tomorrow Fast Willie! We have tickets for both sessions tomorrow and should be able to pick up tics for Friday without too much of a problem. I also have tickets for Saturday, please God, as they say across the pond.
Fitz
